Interview on dvdangle.com (rip)

'DTS Entertainment scores high marks once more for delivering a quality package with stunning sound quality. This 5.1 mix (by legendary Queen producer Mack) sounds tremendous: you will get lost in a sea of guitars as they envelope you from every angle.'
musictap.com - Marco Passarelli

'In addition, kudos must go to Nightjar, LLC for designing the highly effective DVD menus.'
dvdreview.com - Mike Long

'You'll appreciate the audio right from the disc's menu screens. They'll blow you away.'
The Digital Bits - Todd Doogan

'Transitions are very smooth, and almost subliminal. Better yet, every menu has a Dolby Digital 5.1 track behind it, making the transitions even cooler. Smooth navigation was obviously not put secondary in the creation of these menus.'
dvdangle.com - Jeff Kleist

'Standard supplements such as the theatrical trailer and cast/crew filmographies as well as superbly designed animated menus round out a well-put-together disc...'
digitalwidescreen.com - Michael Dequina

'These are the kind of menus I like to see. Animated, with great audio, and really cool transitions. Easy to navigate, yet still stylish. GOOD JOB!'
Ain't it Cool News.com - Dave Alvarado

'The music is perfectly suited with orchestral whispers accompanying the drama and thick guitar riffs and bass tracks behind the action.'
Play Magazine - Dave Halverson

'...the music player is awe-inspiring. If you don't have a full surround sound system, get it, and use this DVD to show you how sweet it is.'
GamePro

'Toss in possibly the single coolest DVD menu system yet created, and you've got one heck of an anime release on your hands.'
Gamefan Magazine - Shidoshi

Created by Nightjar the menu design exudes the simple elegance seen throughout their work and is a genuine joy to navigate thanks to the speed and fluidity in which you can do so, while the look is in keeping with the shows themes.
DVD Times (UK)

'With the help from Nightjar, GENEON once again hits an ace with a well-orchestrated and layed-out DVD menu. Decorated with a sonar sensor, in an “underwater” environmental sense, the DVD is accompanied with a great modern feel. The load times are as fast as the sonar’s motions, and the menus themselves work so well with the theme. Presets and options were easy to access and work with as well. Absolutely high-marks here.'
Anime Advanced DVD - Ray Almeda

'The best extra on the DVD is the '5.1 Music Player'. Basically, the DVD offers three music selections ('Armitage's Theme', 'Orchestral Theme', 'Red Planet') in full Dolby Digital 5.1 glory. The music has been encoded into a 16-bit/48 kHz/448 kbps stream, and it sounds aggressively, wonderful overpowering. . . Those of you who have yet to experience multi-channel digital music will get a taste of how 'opening' and 'enveloping' true surround music can be.'
DVDtown.com - Yuan-da Eddie Feng

'Another great menu by Nightjar. I cannot recommend them enough because of their work on menus for such things as Akira and Trigun. They have made menus an art form and this is no different. The menu has full Dobly Digital 5.1 sound going, much like Akira did. . . The menu is easy to navigate as well... 5.1 Music Theater: Another great extra here and I believe the first one to appear in anime. This gives you 3 of the songs from the score in full Dolby Digital 5.1 treatment. . . The sound is awesome...'
DVDtalk.com - Loren Halek

'I can give a big thumbs-up to the menu design and basic presentation, which is awesome in many ways... The menus for both discs contain great 5.1 audio and animation sequences...'
Digitally Obsessed.com - Dan Lopez

'You really can't go wrong when you contract Nightjar to design your DVD menus, and the ones on Real Bout High School are no exception.'
DVD Times (UK)

'Les menus de ce troisième volume sont magnifiques.'
DVDAnime.net (France)

'...og superbe menuer fra Nightjar-folkene.'
Geek Culture (Denmark) - Lars Jørgensen

'Nightjar fortsätter att göra underbara menyer för sina köpare.'

'It's a Nightjar menu, it looks good, it is good, and it does its job very well.'
AnimeInferno.com (Australia)

[Best Menus] Hellsing - Pioneer It's probably no surprise to anyone that three of the nominees for this award were Nightjar menus. Slick, smooth, and highly usable, Nightjar have been setting standards for menus for some time now. The Hellsing menus are sheer joy. Not only do they look utterly cool, but they have incredibly fast transitions and don't "stutter" like many menus do.
Madman UBB (Australia)

'...one of the most clever menu interfaces I've seen...'
PopCultureShock.com - Shola Akinnuso

'The music blends particularly well with the action and is used to great effect; it's nice that this soundtrack is available as a separate special feature.'
needcoffe.com - Dindrane

'... the Nightjar menus make it a cut above other DVDs in terms of presentation.'
GamePro

'Best Menu Design: Trigun (Nightjar, LLC). The competition was left in the dust as Nightjar... produced some of the most stunning and user friendly menus for the Trigun series this year.'
Runner up: Akira (Nightjar, LLC)
Anime on DVD awards 2001- Best Menu Design

'If that wasn't enough, the menu design by Nightjar makes you just want stare at it all day long, increasing the value rating.'
Otakurevu.com

'The NieA_7 DVD has some of the most well-designed menus that can be found in a domestic anime DVD.'
Animerica - Rio Yañez

'Bow down to some of the coolest menus thus far in the history of DVDs. Created by the masters of menus, Nightjar, LLC, these really show what someone who knows what they're doing can accomplish. Each section has fast load times and easy navigation. Enjoy the sweetness not found on many other DVDs.'
dream.world

'To date, I think the Trigun menus are among the best out there, only below the Sol Bianca: The Legacy menu. And it's no surprise that they both come from the same company.'
Anime on DVD.com - Chris Beveridge

'The best element to the Lost Souls DVD comes in the form of menus.'
Coming Attractions - Reg Seeton

'The menus are a combination of simplicity and coolness. That's right, it must be Studio Nightjar at work again.'

'You'll almost want to buy this DVD for the interface alone!!'
Otakurevu.com

'All areas of production on this disc were excellent, in fact, even the menus are some of the coolest I've seen...'
Ain't it Cool News.com - El Cosmico

'Sol Bianca has one of the best menus I have ever seen for an anime DVD. The folks at Nightjar, LLC make you feel as if you are at the helm of the ship yourself.'
DVDshrine.com - Tena Mastrangelo

'When the DVD begins, a roaring high-tech, futuristic looking menu appears on the screen. . . The haunting vocals in the background set the mood for the movie right away. . . One feature I particularly enjoyed was the 5.1 Music Player. The 5.1 Music Player allows viewers to listen to three particular themes from the movie in 5.1 Dolby Sound. I wish more DVDs would included 5.1 Music Players! If you have a nice sound system (and even if you don't) the music sounds amazing! Crank up the volume and prepare to be amazed.'
Animeagency.com - Locke

'Of special mention is the intricate and fun DVD interface. Nightjar, the menu designers, have made an art out of creating these menus.'
AnimeDream.org - Ryu

'Unreal! A triumph!'
